Born in Naperville, Il, Cynthia likes to make work focusing on gender, race and social issues through a comedic lens. Her latest short, “Groundhog Day For A Black Man”, won both the Outstanding Comedy and the Critics’ Choice Awards at the 12th annual NBC Short Film Festival in October 2017. She was accepted into TIFF's 2018 Filmmaker Lab, where she was awarded a 2019 Filmmaker Residency with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Film Independent. She has written for TBS's Ground Floor and TruTV's Adam Ruins Everything and was a cast member on CollegeHumor. She has a feature in development and is currently in the 2018-2020 class of directors in the Disney ABC Directing Program.
